First of all, just because you have a following doesn't mean you're a leader. Case in point: 98% of influencers on Instagram.

But, who are you supposed to lead if you look behind you and crickets, right? That alone is intimidating, and a little embarrassing. It makes you not wanna even get started.

This is a sort of Field of Dreams situation. If you build it, they will come. When you start showing up as an intuitive, authentic leader, people start paying attention. In order to show up, though, you have to know where you stand.

Getting clear on who YOU are as intuitive leader is the first step. As soon as you do, the following falls in line pretty quickly.

Leaders are conduits.

They see futures that others can't.

You don't need to be at the helm of a startup, an outspoken activist, or a social media influencer to be a leader. Although you can be, and that's totally cool, too.

All you need to do is to be willing to see a future that others cannot, and begin taking the steps to create it. 

"Someone else is better resourced or educated on this than I am."

"Someone else would do this better than me."

I'm not going to sugarcoat this — yes, there are people out there that are more educated than you. Who are more eloquent. Who are more prepared. Who are more resourced.

The easy path would be to shrug your shoulders and say, "Someone else will take care of it." But we've seen how that works out (#neverforget the 2016 Presidential election).

And it is a wonderful gift to have contemporaries who inspire you to do more. But just because they have [insert thing that you think you don't have enough of] doesn't mean that there isn't space for both of you to uniquely lead and inspire the world.

Someone else WILL do it. But they will not reach every single human on the planet. And we can all co-exist, leading side by side.

As a rule, you are not for everyone. No one is. Leaders know that there is always more room at the table to make space for others who are willing to step up.

Holistic mystic realism. 

That's what Holisticism stood for when I bought the URL back in early 2017. 

I've spent the last three years cultivating a community that lives at the intersection of well-being, technology, activism, and awareness. And I've built my company using everything from SEO to the Akashic Records. We do our best to walk the walk here.

We will not ignore the systems of oppression that hold marginalized people captive, and how we may contribute to those systems with our daily actions. 

Together, and with our trusted guest experts and leaders, we'll walk that road together with compassion and awareness. And a little magic, too. 

First, from introvert to introvert — wassup. I see you. For my whole life I've shied away from being at the center of the action. I prefer to exist in the wings, pulling strings and directing the lights to highlight what I see and believe in. Introverts can be leaders, too. (BTW Oprah and Barack Obama are self-identified introverts so ... just saying.)

I don't think you need to be at the helm of a company, or in front of a camera, or leading a movement in order to be a leader. You can be a leader within your family. Within your group of friends. At your job. Leadership is not one-size-fits-all.
